StressBalance: HRV app for pulse, stress and balance — what it measures and why

StressBalance is a browser app for observing heart-rate variability (HRV). A Bluetooth chest strap yields three everyday numbers: Pulse, Stress and Balance. They describe how the organism is handling load and recovery — as orientation, not as a diagnosis.
Overview: stressbalance.app. Measure in the app: StressBalance app.
What the app actually does
It pairs a BLE chest strap (heart-rate service, RR intervals), records a quiet session of a few minutes and calculates the values on the device. There is no cloud “truth” rewriting the formulae elsewhere. Layouts (rings, bars, cards) stay optional.
Pulse is mean heart rate. Stress condenses RR structure into a hint of tension. Balance follows recovery-near variability (RMSSD idea) — how well the system can still yield and adjust.
What is included
Single and family profiles, optional athlete references, import of existing RR files, a guest PDF on the family plan. In between sits the intervention: breath pacing at 6–10 breaths per minute, pink noise or a short track of your own — then the same view of Pulse, Stress, Balance and the rhythmogram.
Recommended straps come from years of daily use (including Sigma R1). The strap is not part of the app price. Wrist optics are not the first path for this RR measurement.
Aims
Make the present state visible; tell short spikes from patterns over days; check whether a measure changes regulation — not “heal”, not “certify”. Complaints still belong with a clinician.
StressBalance continues earlier HRV-analysis tools in the browser: same thinking, clearer surface, local analysis, profile sync. Claim: self-observation you can compare before and after a holiday, a training block or a consultation.
