Four good reasons why you should drink pure water every day

Without water there is no life, water is life. We humans, too, consist mainly of water: as infants more than 90%; as we age the water content of our body mass drops to about 45%. Our body needs water for:

  1. Nutrient supply to all organs and cells
  2. Removal of waste products
  3. Regulation of body temperature
  4. Regulation of pH value and acid-base balance

Pure and fresh water every day

A person with a body weight of 75kg consists of about 50 liters of water, depending on age. The quality of the body water has a great influence on all metabolic reactions. In the long run, insufficient quality leads to restrictions in vitality, health, regeneration, and ultimately quality of life. Drink purifying, pure drinking water and optimize your drinking behavior.

The quality of drinking water has a fundamental importance for the entire metabolism in our body, for our well-being and our health. There are many processes for water filtration, treatment and activation – Aqua Naturalis filter systems combine the advantages of the best individual processes in safe and cost-effective systems that are easy to install.

Listen to your body: drink plenty

Physiologically, our sense of thirst regulates the solvent and transport needs of our body. We can rely on our senses! Feeling thirsty does not mean “craving for minerals”, but for pure water for solvents with free transport capacity.

If we drink too little, the blood “thickens” and the hematocrit value increases (the number of red blood cells in the blood volume increases as a percentage). The result is a reduction in the speed of blood flow and thus a restricted supply of oxygen and nutrients, while at the same time making it more difficult to remove waste products from the tissues.

Nutrient supply of the organs and cells

What are the functions of water in our body? Water transports nutrients in the body to where they are used – into the cells. Without sufficient water as a transport medium, the organs and cells cannot be supplied with nutrients. The better the quality of transport medium and nutrients, the “healthier” our cells and organs.

Removal of waste products

Water binds metabolic waste products and transports them to the kidneys – our “filter station”. The kidneys concentrate the substances to be excreted and pass the “concentrate = urine” to the bladder. The “kidney-filtered” water returns to the circulation and is again available to the body. Without sufficient water with absorption capacity (to be able to bind pollutants) our body would be “clogged up”. This is also one of the tasks of water.

Body temperature regulation

Our body temperature fluctuates very little and is usually around 37° Celsius. The enormous amount of water in the body plays a significant role in temperature regulation. During increased metabolic activity (physical or mental activity) or increased outside temperature, sweat forms on the skin and evaporates. The resulting cold film on the skin influences the control of body temperature. Without sweat production and water evaporation, the body would overheat.

In these tasks of the water, you should cooperate vigorously. We excrete between 1.5 and 2.5 liters daily. You should also drink about the same amount to provide the body with sufficient water. As a rule, calculate 30ml of pure drinking water per kilogram of body weight every day. For people weighing 60 kg, this is about 1.8 liters of water, and for people weighing 80kg, about 2.4 liters of water, and so on.

Regulation of pH, acid-base balance

Maintaining the acid-base balance is crucial for the proper functioning of the body – and thus for our well-being. Different sensors and control systems continuously analyze the internal processes and sensitively control the overall system as needed. The pH values in blood, urine, other body fluids and in the tissue (matrix) are monitored and move within very narrow limits. Exceeding them for a longer period of time leads to countermeasures to prevent or minimize damage.

When the blood pH rises, this leads to so-called alkalosis (>7.45, too alkaline), and when it falls, it leads to acidosis (<7.35, too acidic). To maintain the acid-base balance, the body has a number of regulatory systems and buffers at its disposal. Blood, connective tissue and kidneys are the main regulatory and buffer systems. These have the necessary bases and buffer salts so that damage does not occur.

Buffer systems can react quickly or slowly. Fast-acting buffer systems make use of substances available in the diet. They are therefore limited, depending on what and how much is supplied. Buffer substances stored in the body, e.g. in the bones, take longer to be mobilized.

If the amount of buffer substances available in the diet or released in the tissues is not sufficient to maintain the acid-base balance, disorders, symptoms and damage occur. Especially, chronic hyperacidity accompanies many people in our modern times.
