House Water Filters: Important Information for Decision-Making
House Water Filter Systems for the Protection of All Water Pipes and Appliances
House water filters are simple and effective ways to protect all water pipes in the house and significantly improve water quality. The advantages of a house water filter system are clear:
• Significantly less sand, rust, suspended particles and other pollutants enter the house
• Better protection of the entire water pipe system against deposits for many years
• Better protection against wear of the connected systems such as washing machine, dishwasher, instantaneous water heater, buffer storage, etc.
• Noticeably better feeling on the skin when showering or enjoying a full bath
How much water flow do you need?
One of the most important criteria when buying house water filters is the water flow per minute. It should be designed for the corresponding number of people. How many liters per minute must the filter systems used filter so that there is no bottleneck in a house with, for example, 4 people?
Example: 2 showers used simultaneously, a running washing machine and the currently used kitchen faucet – filters with a filtration capacity of up to 20 l/min are not suitable and are therefore eliminated. In this case, filters should be used that have at least 40-50 l/min water flow so that they still provide sufficient water flow shortly before the end of their filter life, when the flow rate decreases, and you do not have to forgo comfort.
In larger houses, semi-detached houses or multiple parties in a multi-family house, where 40-50 l/min is no longer sufficient, two systems can be installed in parallel. This doubles the flow rate – to about 90-110 l/min.
This filter system can be enhanced with a central water activation & water energization following the filter system, which activates the entire water. Water activation with the right system improves water quality for humans, animals and plants from a biophysical perspective (physically measurable, no esotericism or pseudoscience!). In our view, the “best” systems combine several sub-technologies and operate without electricity, chemicals or magnets. The topic of limescale in water or hard water
With high limescale values / water hardness (our recommendation: over 20 dH) an automatic desalination system should definitely be considered, as it almost automatically removes the hardness formers calcium and magnesium from the water and replaces them with sodium. This means much less limescale deposits in the long term and less damage to water-carrying systems, electrical appliances and fittings.
